• Level 1 (Macro): Comparative analysis of supply and demand (statistics) Rural Tourism in each study objects countries, regulatory framework, tourism development plans, routes / tour operators and tourism quality systems.
• Level 2 (Middle): Comparative analysis of organizational processes for the development of rural tourism (cameras, networks, federations, associations, cooperative partnerships, cooperatives (social economy organizations) and microenterprises in each of the countries under study.
• Level 3 (Micro): Study of cases of rural tourism initiatives in each of the countries under analisis.
• Definition of criteria which serve as parameters which will be incorporated into comparative matrices (macro, middle and micro).
• Comparative matrix considering the criteria to evaluate (Macro): Identifying the comparative criteria which is product of the analysis of supply and demand (statistics) of Rural tourism in each of the countries studied,
Regulatory framework, tourism development plans, routes / tour operators and, tourism quality systems.
• Comparative matrix considering the criteria to evaluate (Middle): Identifying the comparative criteria which is product of organizational process analysis for the development of rural tourism.
• Comparative matrix considering the criteria to evaluate (Micro): product identification criteria based in the cases study of rural tourism initiatives in each of the countries under study.
• Case studies of rural tourism initiatives and sustainable tourism best practices implemented in each.
• Designing of proposals of adaptation strategies of the best practices in the various elements of benchmarking identified concerning to the development of rural tourism in Nicaragua.
